The Fall

  • If we say EVOL =  EVIL

We can say JOVE = LOVE as well.

"Jupiter, also Jove....The Romans regarded Jupiter as the equivalent of the Greek Zeus..."

"In one version of the myth, (Ganymede) is abducted by Zeus, in the form of an eagle, to serve as cup-bearer in Olympus. Homer describes Ganymede as the most beautiful of mortals:The myth was a model for the Greek social custom of paiderastía, the socially acceptable erotic relationship between an adult male and an adolescent male. The Latin form of the name was Catamitus (and also "Ganymedes"), from which the English word "catamite" is derived.[4]"

"The story of her abduction by Zeus in the form of a white bull was a Cretan story; as classicist Károly Kerényi points out, "most of the love-stories concerning Zeus
originated from more ancient tales describing his marriages with
goddesses. This can especially be said of the story of Europa".[1]"

"Zeus noticed Io, a mortal woman, and lusted after her. In the version of the myth told in Prometheus Bound she initially rejected Zeus' advances, until her father threw her out of his house on the advice of oracles.[17] According to some stories, Zeus then turned Io into a heifer in order to hide her from his wife;[5] others maintain that Hera herself transformed Io.[17][18]"

  • Diabolical Trap

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

    FIRE AND SWORD

Letters of fire and sword. If a criminal resisted the law and refused to answer his citation, it was accounted treason in the Scottish courts; and “letters of fire and sword” were sent to the sheriff, authorizing him to use either or both these instruments to apprehend the contumacious party.

To go on a rampage, sometimes with an army. To destroy something, mostly when referring to ancient or medieval times. Burning down towns and cities with fire and killing with the sword all the living things in the city: men, women, and children alike.

Destruction. Killing with the sword and burning the rest.
