Perhaps it was. You know what? Nothing is certain here. It's nice to be able to understand that what we don't know. The big three religions seem to be bent on "knowing" through very ridgid belief systems. Yes, they say "faith". Is it really faith we speak of here, when these religions and all other religions that stemmed from them (Mormonism) as quite notorious for being bigotted?

Now, Oskr, why does that irate you? Why do you seek to attack me so often? I truly do not like Creationism and fanaticism. I understand in most Latin American countries, including where I was born, being very religious is the norm. Is it a culture shock thing? I grew up in a very secular society, in Canada, in the prairies. I'm not religious, in any sense of the word. I am simply one of those people who doesn't know much of anything because I simply cannot know anything, the universe is too vast to be able to fathom much of anything.
Could I possibly have the temerity to claim that I KNOW for SURE that a diety exists? One certain diety, who has made contact with the speck of dust I live on. I'm a stupid speck of dust within a speck (the world) within yet another speck of dust (the Milky Way). The universe is so vast that we matter little if anything at all.
Yes, I definitely know the secrets of the universe and definitely one spiritual movement on this planet has all the answers. NOT!

Also, who says Atheism has anything to do with the agenda of liberal commies? It comes from a very, very long history of disillusionment with institutionalized that religion that can be seen in the European wars of religion that lasted from 1524 until about the end of the 30 years' war in 1648. Then there was a little movement in the 18th century called the Enlightenment, in which many leading philosophers completely abandoned religion. Why? Maybe because, nearly a thousand years, the Roman Catholic Church wielded way too much power?
I mean, they created universities. Hired all the musicians, paid intellectuals, created intellectuals even (Peter Abelard, William Ockham).
