    Jehovah’s Witnesses???

    I'd like to ask Brian's opinion of Jehovah’s Witnesses, please. 
    Anyone else who has experience of them please give your opinions of them also.

      They are very structered and got a part of the "market" of the people religion oriented and who need a haven where are people like them to feel well. The mormons and many others behave in a somewhat similar way and have the rest of the "market". They can be a bit annoying to those who are not interested but it is their persistance that got them their success. They will, like the mormons and many other groups, support the antichrist when he appears. They are just another group that exercises control over the masses.

      Thanks paulojose. They are quite self-righteous people but still engage in gossip mongering guaranteeing a spell in some lower hell; by some accounts.

      Unfortunately, it seems that a religion or a sect such as that one caters to religious fanatics.

      People who blindly believe what they are told and act in a matter that does not allow them to engage in the use of common sense of logical deduction. When you are placed under the order of some organization, it is always important to question why and HOW things work. Organizations seldom have people's well-being firm in mind and they most certainly do not have a complete understanding of some
      divine power.

      Understanding how and why things work is imperative to leading a proper life based on facts and logic. Jehovah's witnesses seem incapable of questioning. It is when one fails to question the way things work and why they work that great tragedies and injustices befall us.

      That is the reason why fanatics and people of blind faith seldom help humanity but harm it instead.

      They also seem to believe that just because they read the bible that will will be "saved".

      Reading scripture is probably not a bad idea; even if there's not much information that will help you get out, at least you come to understand biblical stories to better understand operas and paintings based on them. Although the information in scripture is probably quite beneficial. Who knows! I'm just an idiot, but I bet you it does help, to a certain extent.

      But nah, just reading a book will not get you out of samsara, will it? Apparently tons of meditation and many lifetimes of work with the aim of leaving will. Or so, that's what Sir Brian says!

      A Zen Buddhist say to end suffering we should "speak less and sit more"

      It is a pity eating lots of chocolate does;t have the same effect as lots of meditation, I'd have been a Buddha long ago.

      A big problem of reading just the sacred scripture of one religion is that the mind becomes pinioned in what comes in that book and ignores all that is not there. That is very apparent in every religious-esoterical group, if you speak of any concept that is not known by them is because it is false... So we need to read the major sacred books and a lot of esoterical stuff until we get a correct picture. Above all we have to practice what we believe. Unfortunatelly chocolate ingestion, or any other substance including drugs, don´t help.

      But belief systems are limiting in and of themselves. They're like handcuffs; and what if we believe in something harmful, such as flagellation? People partook in such a practise, particularly in Catholicism not too long ago.

      If we don´t practice what we believe what are we going to do, what others believe or nothing at all? There is indeed a risk in choice, we can choose wrong, but every day of our lifes we are faced with choices. Today I made a choice I should have not done, I killed a lizard inside my house, I knew it was wrong to do it but I did it anyway. I regret it. Sometimes we choose thinking that it is the right choice but latter on we discover it isn´t. And of course we are very influentiable. I know that our past lifes and this one too are packed with wrong choices. There are those people who say that they would not change anything concerning their choices in the past, I am not one of those, I would have done everything different if I could get back to the past. We can´t change the past only the present and the future.

      Peter, BS is not going to answer you, probably because he is already part of the Jehovah´s witnesses and does not want to disclose their secrets...

      I was told about Jehovah´s witnesses by a man who works in a local Fish'n'Chip shop I went to a lot. So we got taking and eventually he gave me some of the magazines for Jehovah´s witnesses which I didn't read. It didn't even register in my mind that is was Jehovah´s witnesses magazines. This was about 3 years ago.

      In March of this year he took me a few times to their Kingdom Hall, the attraction being the high percentage of very attractive ladies who attend such a place. Though most are in relationships to other Jehovah´s witnesses :( The service is very long at about 90 minutes. I am sure there are some important teachings made in these services. One of which was that people should Mind their own business in life, something I know these people and others can't do since I have been gossiped about by pathetic people for over 15 years, to my considerable harm and cost, and it is not over yet. It has been a persecution throughout this time.

      I had not heard BS mention Jehovah´s witnesses.

      Anyway I am not into this type of organised religion but the women are certainly very nice.

      Peter, you are a man and of course you are atracted to women but that is a very feeble excuse to belong to an organization. All christian cults have very limited knowledge of esoteric matters, certainly not of reincarnation, they are in fact makers of ignorants, at least in a broad way. The only evoluted christians I know, in terms of knowledge, are the spiritualists that follow what Allan Kardec. They are not a cult or religious group but have some of their characteristics. They know a lot and have an evoluted way of facing religion and knowledge. They do base quite a lot in chanelling, something that BS does not aprove...I supose that all depends on who is channeled and what is chanelled.
      Knowledge is quite limited in the Christian, Muslim and Jew religions. It is much more broader in the Budhist and Hindu religions. Don´t advice anyone to get into religion, only to get better as a person and to widden their knowledge in spiritual matters. The ideal would be not to depend on intermediaries, someone who tells us suposedly as things are. We are not yet in that fase, I hope to attain that yet in this lifetime.
      Babes, chocolate and the sort are providers of very short term pleasure but solve nothing and in the end delay our way out of this hellhole.Pleasure is now, freedom is tomorrow, we almost all prefer the now, and that is our doom.
      BS is perhaps not a Jehovah´s witness, perhaps a mormon...Not really.

      Far beyond that... Kardec falled into the tables mediums tricks. New age stuff, of course channeling exists, but as far as new age is present we will be playing with collective unc. demonic stuff.



       James Randi has conducted many tests of table tippers and applied controls such as just placing wax paper under the finger tips of participants which will simple slide along the table if a directional force is applied. This is also used in conjuncture with placing the hands away from the edges of the table and toward the middle of the table making tipping due to downward pressure impossible.One must also take into account that many table tippers have also used their feet and legs to tip or levitate tables,so having participants sit in a chair with their feet down by the back legs of the chair helps to eliminate the leg and feet factor. To no ones surprise,table tippers also lost their abilities to move or levitate tables when such controls were applied.

      Allan Kardec. I had heard of him when I was about 17. He was a founder of some spiritist magazine in the late 19th century, I, with my obvious penchant for history and obsession with Herr Wolfgang Mozart, had come across a "Spiritist Sonata" composed by "Mozart" after his brief escapade from Jupiter, his supposed home planet after Earth. This sonata was one I had come across BECAUSE of that nineteenth century magazine. In there, there was also some article written after Mozart had contacted some ladies at Marseilles. Disturbing and distorted information, but could seem to be very substantial and candid to the undiscerning reader.
