      A performer needs to create his own reality, a psychic needs to believe in his own psychic power, a magician needs to believe in his own magical abilities, a Zen Master needs to believe in his own liberation etc. But desire (attachment) is the root of all suffering. Role play is what defines as as avatars and archetypes of the Collective Unconscious. According to psychopaths, freedom MUST, therefore, involve killing everyone. UFOs and Aliens warn us that this idea is faulty.

      Atheism is a religion without a God. Unfortunately, Denial, Willful Ignorance or the Self ultimately fills that void. A religion, then, without true substance!

      I was a member of a gnostic group for a year. The emphasis was the destruction of the ego, specifically the cardinal sins, anger, sloth, envy etc, all of them. We were suposed to make a constant effort to destroy them whenever they appeared. It´s a perspective that still influences me today.

      The ego cannot be destroyed only spiritualized. But spiritualized based upon what? This is the fundamental flaw. If the self becomes God, we get mediocre illumination and Communist societies ruled by idiots.

      For Gnostics, the ego only pertains to the lower self, but it is the "higher" self that is the REAL problem and the source of all Luciferic consciousness, hubris, heresy and eternal damnation.

      The higher self is suposed to be the divine part of us left in a superior world while us, the lower self of the higher self, are here gathering experience in a material world. I see it as a hand with several fingers, I am one of the fingers of several that my higjher self has. Somewhat similar to the concept, perhaps, of the soul groups that you BS exposed. But perhaps you and i are speaking of diferent things.
      The destruction, sublimation, spiritualization of sins, faults, whatever, seems to be a proposal without any flaw in its intention. If we don´t do it in some way we don´t correct who we are.
