As long as a person holds on to the self, they can't let go. And being unable to let go is so limiting and causes pain and suffering.

Does letting go help end the suffering and turmoil?

Usually people with obsessive compulsive disorders and anxiety problems got that way because they can't let go.

If there's a circle around ME, then no one can hurt ME, and if there's no ME, no one can cause ME harm.

What happened to objectivity and peace? Now there is fear, anxiety and rejection, all stemming from the self. Because without the self there is no fear, anxiety or anything of the like.
