To shoot the scene of the falling into a canal in St Barnaba, Katharine Hepburn was very brave and repeated the scene three times! But the fall into the dirty water of the Venetian canals caused Katherine Hepburn a bad infection in one eye, which caused her suffering for the rest of her life.

But per Kevin Brownlow's bio of David Lean, someone on the production said that she DID swim in the canals after hours. When she was confronted with this info by Stephen Silverman - who also wrote a terrific Lean book - she is said to have said: I am a fool.

Flicking through channels or channeling has its obvious limitations based upon the constraints of linear logic, programming (TV, Hollywood) and conditioning, but divining is different because it bypasses major filters but can easily be mistaken for being the same thing,

One may even postulate that ONLY expanded consciousness makes channeling workable. Without it, we got lost in mazes and frustrated by brick walls.
