Yesterday while doing a reiki session to myself, hands on my middle or lower back, probably have fallen asleep.

A tremendous 3rd eye dream vision showed up, very vividly, i heard my voice talking to my mom and said:

Look those who wander too much looking (treasures), eventually find the monster!

A ship was wandering in the see a huge hydra appeared and destroyed the ship, first i was near the ship, then on from the distance,the sky was fully clean the sounds of the sea.. everything, like being the last survivor swiming for my life with the fear of being eaten...finally arrived to a sort of platform with crystals in the corners(atlantean??)

Very stressfull but cool to watch, it destroyed the ship in seconds!!

Suddenly is a bit clear why such dream.. on the session i remembered a child nightmare, where i saw my mom dying my arms, in an apocalyptic background. I relate this to Darth Vader(and blame him). ;)

Fighting a dragon (or any monster) may be about your inner search or quest or wanting to tame the beast within. From a Jungian perspective this may be about the ego's struggle to lift oneself from unconsciousness and to establish some control over it. He saw it as part of the Individuation process, the integration of ego and soul. The dragon can also represent The Great Mother archetype—the overbearing aspect (Freud suggested that it is the devouring aspect of the mother); fighting it would be an attempt to break away and to become independent from parental authority (e.g. political, economical, philosophical, societal, theological, or personal) controls.

Yeah, both of them seem to be very plausible, but in the last one it seems to be more like the need to end the fear of losing them, the independence of them from that fear. It seems that fear originated when i have that nightmare. Since that nightmare, where i lost my mother in an explosion, in an apocalyptic robot take over, every christmas i thought perhaps that would be the last time/year i was with her in my life, suffering.

Yeah i agree on the great mother, i read the great mother is contained as an aspect of the anima. The interesting part here is that on the dream my own voice was teaching to her, giving advice. The father archetype, in some leves is a decoder as "hermes", but far beyond from "hermes", is there a possibility that such was the connection to higher consciousness?

The wandering is possibly related with procrastination and lazyness, not working on eart,or near to earth. wandering in conciousness, as you said once.

Other interesting thing was that  everything started with the notion that my body was dragged into the dream, time travel?

What do you think that platform could mean?, very deep in the middle of the ocean.. very Et/modern like, with crystals.
