He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys.
i don't remember if was milton cooper or Jan Udo Holey who told this story, but an officer of us army remembered that right-after ww2 has ended, a military shipment was organised at some base located in asia ; he asked a guy who was aware what was goin' on & that guy asked him, trully surprised: "what, you don't know? we 've got order to move this whole equipment in... vietnam." - i ain't insult YOUR intelligence...
The "Mouth of the South" is no longer as he devotes his time (and $1 billion) to the U.N., jets between 28 homes and four girlfriends, misses Jane Fonda and opens up to THR about Rupert, Jerry and his abuse as a child. Says a friend: "He's definitely changed."
@breemaborg That's an excellent point. Fear is necessary and important: it is what keeps us alive in many instances. For example, I may fear jumping off very high cliffs. It's a good thing too, imagine if I were to just find the tallest cliff available and jump off for the thrill of it with no intent to suicide. I'd probably die.
Or maybe Bob here is terrified of lions. Makes sense.
However, there are times when fear is rational and completely appropriate and other times when it is not.
For example, Mary plays the violin professionally, but on days when she performs she can't eat much because she'll vomit anything she ingests that day. Also, she becomes paralyzed upon going onstage. Now, if she plays badly, she won't be in any harm. No one will kill her, no one will do anything to her. But her brain tells her she is in immediate danger and thus her stress levels.
In this case, and I take back saying Macron is anything amazing because I have no clue, the fear-mongering leaders like Le Pen incite can be quite divisive and harmful. And that's obvious.
Le Pen would have still been an atrocious choice. Thank goodness she did not win!
