"Visākhā, those who have a hundred dear ones have a hundred sufferings. Those who have ninety dear ones have ninety sufferings. Those who have eighty... seventy... sixty... fifty... forty... thirty... twenty... ten... nine... eight... seven... six... five... four... three... two... Those who have one dear one have one suffering. Those who have no dear ones have no sufferings. They are free from sorrow, free from stain, free from lamentation, I tell you."
These are false systems because the love expressed in the Bible is not self love and not the love of others, but the love of Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life.
In 1923 a 23-year-old Oxford undergraduate by the name of Raoul Loveday (or Frederick Charles Loveday) died at the Abbey. His wife, Betty May, variously blamed the death on his participation in one of Crowley's rituals (allegedly incorporating the consumption of the blood of a sacrificed cat) or the more probable diagnosis of acute enteric fever contracted by drinking from a mountain spring. (Crowley had warned the couple against drinking the water, as reported in biographies by Lawrence Sutin, Richard Kaczynski and others.) When May returned to London, she gave an interview to a tabloid paper, The Sunday Express, which included her story in its ongoing attacks on Crowley. With these and similar rumors about activities at the Abbey in mind, Benito Mussolini's government demanded that Crowley leave the country in 1923. After Crowley's departure, the Abbey of Thelema was eventually abandoned and local residents whitewashed over Crowley's murals.
I can't see Bomjom's little "inspirational" speech knowing what a disgusting pig he is. Kidnapping innocent people and torturing them? Oh, and he's the Buddha boy, with his little white attire and a number of attendants. If he was really a "Buddha boy", he wouldn't need stupid ass attendants to cover his ass. I'd heard of him before, actually and was waiting for Brian to give some kind of comment about him. However, I only did very superficial research on him and none of his heinous behaviour appeared in my internet search.
The odd thing is that he's supposed to have meditated for years in the forest? I mean, wouldn't that lead to some spiritual and intellectual expansion? Did he go astray because of the power and lack of direction?
