Even though i tried to listen his cds.. and i listened to various... never understood the fuss with him...

its sad when someone dies...

yet i saw a couple of his late videos, and they were a bit blasphemous to my taste.

There was also something about his voice... it seemed weak, like he lacked proper breathe control when singing. Bad technique?

Probably heard quite a bit of his music when growing up, parents imbued me with classic rock from a young age.
However, composing music is no easy task, though there are so many that could have done much better than him, it seems. Still, nice harmonies at times.
Making a statement through song, video, all of that together seems like a Herculean task.
