I have no way of checking, no pendulum here far from home. But I did see a portrait of George Washington yesterday at the Frick Collection. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say Dustin Hoffman has a past life connection to George Washington. Am I wrong? May the teacher slap my wrists. 99.999% chance I AM wrong. *extends hands ready to have wrists slapped with ruler*
You guess and expect an exact answer? I once browsed through all that Brianstalin had written in some forum in which he discussed his findings with others. I don't know why he does not do so anymore. Pride or, "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." (Matthew 7)
"You guess and expect an exact answer?" Hey, I don't know! I shouldn't be GUESSING at all! I should be dowsing and allowing an objective apparatus to guide me along! But yes, I can be ridiculous, I guessed once and got it somewhat right, so I'm crossing my fingers again.
Pride on behalf of Brian? I guess Brianstalin isn't infallibe, but considering how much he loathes the ego, I don't think it's that. Yes, Brian. We're not talking about you behind your back, but in front of you. See? Front stabbing, not backstabbing!
No, I just think he thinks no one will get it and he's like "no one understands me!"
Perhaps Brian just wants us to learn these things for ourselves. I should buy a pendulum again, I lost it somewhere. But I still believe that only a skilled meditator can achieve good results.
@Leftius: it's okay, most of us take a while to get the riddles. I actually have understood a few in the past! *stands straighter with pride* But I'm stupid too, so...
The tendency of people who are suposedly gurus in not talking straight is astounding. Instead of talking clearly they take the long, round, touristic route that delays, confounds and discourages who listens because they didn´t understand what they were told. It´s like we were speaking in english and the teacher answers in chinese, he did answer but the answer is not understandable. But that´s what we´ve got in this world.
Thanks Leftius. It´s useless to complain of anything, it takes us nowhere, I just notice reality. And of course we live in a culture of the right now right here. Nonetheless in the esoteric universe there is this tendency of going around the subject instead of going stright at it. Most of the times is because the person questioned has no correct answer to give us, sometimes is because is because giving the answer empties the tie and the power he has over us while we are expecting the answer. There may other explanations and one is undoubtely that we should make our own homework but most of the times that is just a poor excuse. It´s like putting a very apetising meal in front us and then telling us that we can´t eat, then what is the point, torture?... This frustration is the main reason why so many leave groups, sects, gurus, religions and so on, the answers don´t come by or the mind games become tiresome. Anyway, let´s be grateful for what we have, perhaps we being with BS was no chance, who knows, BS knows but he won´t tell us...Hilarious. we have to laugh or we crack up.
My motivations are understanding and, honestly, entertainment. It is exciting to read and watch videos about past lives. The mind candy has already been thrown, but I could digest some more.
Leftius, true, we can´t get enough mind candy. Uncle BS threw a lot of that in our direction in the past with past life matches, now much less to our sorrow. The apetite that our mind has for such things is interesting.
CB, perhaps we missed some tasty meals but it was not our fault if we didn´t recognised them as such. As students we want to learn but to do that we have to be taught. If we are asked something and we really don´t know the answer is it our fault? We don´t know the darned answer! We keep searching, perhaps we will reach something, we´ll see.
@breemaborg "We have a whole youtube channel of matches BS has made 'logically'. Has that taught any of us how to successfully access the records on our own?
Telling us the 'answers' only teaches us not to do our own homework."
And when the teacher knows that we don´t know the answer for the question and never will? Hopefully not our case but for sure for many that is their reality.
@paulojose; oh, come on! You have to at least try and learn something and put some work in! Like anything in life!
It's like being upset because your piano teacher expects you to play that G major Minuet from the Anna Magdalena book by Bach. The one that children play, and then being upset because your teacher won't play it for you because you'll never be willing to put in the work to learn to play it. Or to hone the simple skills required to learn it. See? You just have to do some meditation and stuff and put the work in to get results from what Brian teaches. All this metaphysics, past life stuff is the product of disciplined meditation. It's a discipline, the teacher has said this a million times over.
