The quest for knowledge through Gnosticism and the Kabbalah DOES NOT work! Intuitive knowledge in the form of channeling and other "unclean" acts is an attempt to access the pooled knowledge of inferior and feeble minds that is the Collective Unconscious. Higher consciousness allows us to bypass this pit of confusion, by not going there in the first place!

Gnosticism is not mentioned by name in the Bible, with one possible exception, I Timothy 6:20-21:

Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and vain babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge—by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. Grace be with you. Amen.

The Amplified Bible makes these verses clearer:

Timothy, guard and keep the deposit entrusted [to you]! Turn away from the irreverent babble and godless chatter, with the vain and empty and worldly phrases, and the subtleties and the contradictions in what is falsely called knowledge and spiritual illumination. [For] by making such profession some have erred (missed the mark) as regards the faith.
